Ask the assistant you already use.
“Hey Claude, where are my keys?” Connect Wheredai to Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant, and ask about your things wherever you already talk to it.

What an assistant can do
- Find things. “Where’s the outlet tester?” It answers with where the thing is, who saw it last and how sure Wheredai is.
- See what’s in a place. “What’s in the red bin?”
- Look up what you saved. The filter size, which breaker, a plumber’s number.
- Add things. “The drill goes on the second shelf in the garage.”
- Update or move things. Rename something, change its note or quantity, or move it somewhere else.
- Confirm where something is. “The drill is still there.”
- Undo. Ask it to undo a change it made, within an hour.

Claude
Add Wheredai as a custom connector. Add to Claude opens Claude’s “Add custom connector” with the name and URL filled in. When Claude asks, sign in to Wheredai and choose what it may do.
Add to ClaudeChatGPT
- Turn on developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login).
- Then open Plugins, select +, name it Wheredai and paste the connector URL under Connection.

Claude Code
In a terminal, run this command, then sign in when your browser opens.

Other assistants
Wheredai speaks MCP, the open standard assistants use to connect to apps. If your assistant can add an MCP server by URL and sign you in, give it the connector URL.
If it can’t sign in, create an access token in Settings → Access tokens and have it send the token as a Bearer token in the Authorization header.
Already signed in? Settings → Connected apps has these same buttons ready to use.
You stay in control
- When you approve an assistant, you choose what it may do: find and read only, or also add and change.
- We email you whenever a new assistant connects.
- Settings → Connected apps lists every connection; disconnecting one ends its access at once.
- Anything an assistant adds or changes can be undone, and it can undo its own recent change.
- Secret values, like a door code, are never sent to an assistant.
- Each household has a limit on how much assistants can ask, so one busy connection can’t slow everyone else down.
